Makers & Creators is looking for creative, unique, and high-quality items that reflect the talent and passion of their makers. Items must be designed and created by the stallholder or someone they know personally, such as a friend or family member.
Priority is given to stallholders from Ōtautahi and the surrounding areas. However, applications from across the wider Canterbury region and other parts of the motu are welcomed, especially if your products bring something unique and distinctive that complements what is already available locally.
To keep the market fresh and exciting, a mix of new and returning stallholders is encouraged. Regular sellers may not be accepted for every market in order to offer variety and ensure a dynamic experience for shoppers. Please understand this is not a reflection on the quality of your work, but a way to maintain the vibrancy and diversity of the market.
If you’re unsure whether your products would be a good fit, feel free to reach out via Instagram or Facebook Messenger.

Indoor stalls accommodate a standard 1.8m trestle table, with a limited number of larger stalls available that fit two trestle tables. Outdoor sites may also be available depending on the venue and season. A coffee cart is always welcomed at Makers and Creators markets, and, depending on the venue and occasion, there may also be opportunities for several small food trucks or trailers.
Stall fees vary according to stall size. A 2m x 1.5m stall is typically priced at $45. Fees for seasonal events may be slightly higher to account for expanded marketing efforts and other associated expenses.
Makers & Creators strives to keep stall fees affordable while reflecting the value of the event, the quality of the handmade goods, and the level of marketing provided to create a vibrant and engaging market experience for all.
